Bolin NS Bass/4 and Bass/5

The Bolin NS Bass/4 and Bass/5 feature everything you’d expect in a top-line electric bass—and more. The unique angled bolt-on neck design offers incredible rigidity, and the elegant open headstock imparts remarkable strength. The electronics feature one active low-impedance EMG‘ double-coil pickup and an optional Fishman‘ piezo bridge specially designed for the Bolin NS Design Basses. With an onboard equalization system, the pickups offer precise tone shaping for a surprisingly large tonal palette.

Bolin NS Guitar

The Bolin NS Guitar has the same bolt-on neck design, body shape, materials, and fingerboard as the bass. It does not have the strap extension since the guitar is not neck-heavy like a bass. The guitar offers the option of Seymour Duncan passive pickups or EMGTM active pickups. Lou Reed offered these comments about the Bolin NS Guitar: “It will stay in tune and deliver magnificent tone. But there are some other guitars that do that. It's the ergonomics of the active controls and the flexibility that makes possible a guitar that can do anything. From Tele to acoustic to Gibson to heavy metal and a bunch of original stop-off points as well, this is a guitar that does it all.”

Features

Unique Bolt-on Neck Design & Headstock:

The necks are crafted from rock maple and attached to the body with a unique offset attachment design which imparts remarkable rigidity. The open headstock
provides extraordinary down-force for the strings, creating amazing tone clarity.

Fingerboard:

The offset-waisted solid alder body comes standard with a flamed maple top. A generous cutaway allows the guitarist easy access to the highest registers. Bolin NS Design Guitars come in a satin stained finish available in over a dozen different colors. An optional quilted maple top is available as well.

The top is carved in an arc to give additional mass underneath the strings for a focused tone and a comfortable weight. The balance of the bass is maintained while standing with the help of a unique strap extension.

Pickups:

One active low-impedance EMGTM double-coil pickup with an 18-volt active EQ control system comes standard.Controls include volume, bass, treble, midrange, and midrange gain. Case:

Bolin NS Design Guitars include a custom form-fit hardshell case.
